Jukebox Utopia is the pseudonym for Bianca Ludewig, a music journalist, passionate record collector and radio DJ devoted to Hip Hop. Her radio show ‘WiseUp – storys and legends about music’ airs at several independent radiostations since 1998. Being in the phd process since 2010 - focusing on urban studies, anthropology and popular music studies - she is researching political street art, hardcore techno or music festivals. She wrote for the German Hip Hop magazine Backspin, aightgenossen.ch, and different hiphopvinyl & graffiti magazines. Through her essays and interviews on Rap and Graffiti that often polarized the community - she also tried to push hip hop journalism to a more ambitious and crucial level. 2004 -2007 she organized the END2END Graffiti festival in Hamburg Germany.
